Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Introduction
Intercedio ("Intercedio", "we", "us") is operated by Mexcoders SCP, a Sociedad Civil Particular domiciled in Mérida, Yucatán, México. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is provided in accordance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).
Intercedio is a collaborative prayer app. It is currently offered as a free beta. We do not show ads, we do not sell personal information, and we do not currently offer paid subscriptions.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
- Content you create — prayer requests, prayer lists, notes, and answered-prayer entries.
- Group information — the prayer groups or organizations you create or join, and your membership in them.
- Usage information — basic, aggregated information about how the app is used, to help us improve it.
- Device and app information — technical data such as app version and error logs, used for security, debugging, and support.
3. How We Use Information
We use this information to provide and operate the service, enable live group prayer sessions, maintain security, fix problems, respond to support requests, and improve Intercedio. We do not use your prayer content for advertising.
4. User Content
Prayer requests and other content you submit belong to you. We store and process this content only to provide the service to you and the groups you choose to share it with. You control what you share with a group.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf so we can run the app:
- Supabase — database hosting and real-time session infrastructure.
- Vercel — application hosting and (planned) privacy-friendly usage analytics.
- Resend — sending transactional email such as sign-in and account messages.
These providers process data under our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data as described in Section 7. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period (up to approximately 30 days) before they are overwritten.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your profile, prayer requests, lists, and group memberships. If you cannot access your account, email us at support@intercedio.com and we will process your request. We may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
8. Children's Privacy
Intercedio is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@intercedio.com and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
10. International Users
Intercedio is offered from México and is intended for users in the United States and elsewhere. By using the service, you understand your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
11. Your Rights
Under the LFPDPPP you may request access to, rectification of, cancellation of, or opposition to the processing of your personal data (ARCO rights). To exercise these rights, contact us at support@intercedio.com.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
